Background

BiP2 (Binding immunoglobulin protein) is localized in endoplasmic reticulum lumen (ER) and plays a role in

protein assembly inside ER. BiP protein is abundant under all growth conditions but its synthesis can increase

under conditions that lead to the accumulation of unfolded polypeptides in endoplasmic reticulum (ER).

Compartment marker of ER.

Immunogen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide derived from Arabidopsis thaliana BiP proteins (At5g42020).

Concentration: 1.0mg/ml

Expected/apparent MW: 73.5 | 80 kDa

Tested applications: Western blot (WB), IF

Species specificity: Arabidopsis thaliana, Nicotiana tabacum

Recommended dilution: 1 : 500-2000 (WB, detect endogenous protein ), 1: 100 - 1: 500 (IF)(optimal dilutions

should be determined by the end use.)

Storage Buffer: PBS Buffer, pH7.4

Storage: Store at 2°C to 8°C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C. Stable for 2
