Background

Encodes a leucine-rich repeat serine/threonine protein kinase that is expressed ubiquitously. FLS2 is involved in

MAP kinase signalling relay involved in innate immunity. Essential in the perception of flagellin, a potent elicitor

of the defense response. FLS2 is directed for degradation by the bacterial ubiquitin ligase AvrPtoB. The mRNA is

cell-to-cell mobile.

Immunogen

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the

C-terminal region of Arabidopsis thaliana FLS2 (AT5G46330). Antibodies were purified by affinity purification

using immunogen.
